Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone is 309 pages full of witches and wizards, magic spells, owls messengers, a three headed dog, and a two headed man by J.K. Rowling.
Harry potter, the main character, is an 11 year old boy that finds out that he is a wizard on his birthday and goes to a witch and wizard school named Hogwarts. Throughout the story harry learns magic spells like how to make objects fly, and get on to the Gryffindor Quidditch team (like basket ball in the air and with three hoops not one) and find the secret Sorcerer’s stone.
Harry’s friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, both best friends with Harry, Hermione is a smart girl that is a know it all and is smart in how people jinx stuff and saves Harry’s life she also help Harry get though the spells in the chambers to get to the stone. Ron is a boy how is good at wizard chess and helps Harry also get through the chambers.
The antagonist, in Harry’s eyes, is the potion teacher Snape. They think Snape is trying to get the stone for Voldemort, the darkest wizard to live and killed Harry’s parents. Later Harry found out that Snape was a good wizard and Quirrell, the defense against the dark arts teacher, was the man with two faces with Voldemort.
The main problem is when Harry had to stop Quirrell from getting the stone. The way Harry stopped Quirrell is that if Harry touched Quirrell he would crumble like dirt. This event was foreshadowed by what time of the year it was and what events already happened in the story, like when before school started harry was introduced to Quirrell that didn’t want to shake Harry’s hand. This book was mysterious and a life like book so read the other six books.
