Wrapping Up a large Package!

In Great Expectations to me the book is trying to say that money and social class are not the way to happyness but that spending time with family and friends is. When I was reading this book it tell me of how much I love my family and how much I LOve spending time with my friends. Also it makes me also think of how i can be happy even if all the money that i have goes away i will never be sad.

A GREAT REFLECTION!

Great Expectations has been a big problem for me because i have never read something like this before. At first is was hard to keep up with the reading but over time it became easyer to understand. I was able to get some of the mysterys but the rest was in class and on sparknotes. The characters where also from class but not from sparknotes.
When I was reading this book I tryed to stay with the class but it was hard not to fall a sleep. I read in a chair or on my bed because those were where i always read a book. Without the class I would be very lost in the book and not know a single thing. Well not that i am done with it i can now look forward with the essay that we have to write. But for now it is Spring Break!!!!!!!!!

The Two sides of Pip

In Great Expectations there are two kinds of Pips. The first one is the one that is doing all of the things in his past. One big event that was at the begining is when Pip steals the porkpie and gives it to the convict. Pip is scared for his life when Miss. Joe goes for it at Christmas Dinner. The other Pip of the story is the one that is telling the story and saying that he would take back all of the bad things the he did.

LATE:Great Expectations Vs. A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol and Great Expectations are alike is some ways but they have a opposite change of the main character. In Great Expectations Pip is changing from a kind and gental boy from his childhood. Then he went to London to become a gentalman but becomes mean and selfish. In A Christmas Carol Scrooge is a gentalman that is all mean and selfish but when the three ghosts come and show Scrooge the truth he then changes his ways and repays all of the things that he did wrong. All in these books by Charles Dickens have the same story line but are ever so diffrent.

Chapter 9 sentence

This quote from the book tell me that Pip is trying to show the diffrence between the low class ranked people and high class people. The Gold and flowers are the high class and the iron and thorns are the low class. So far in the day that Pip is saying this he is shown how the low class and the high class are diffrent. This is a turning point in pips life because as a kid he doesn't look at how some people are not the same.
This is just like what happend in my life when I was young. I thought everyone was the same and i made many friends. But when we started to get stuff like game systems and cars it all changed. I look at other poeple of what they have and now i will like to change.
